I never dreamed that I would see this happen. IYO Sky will wrestle for Marigold next month at their Summer Destiny show. WWE and Nick Khan gave their permission for her to wrestle for another company.
Iyo Sky had just defeated Lyra Valkyria on June 10th at WWE Raw. She appeared via stream at the Marigold’s Grand Opening Wars show at Korakuen Hall. She challenged Utami Hayashishita to a match at Summer Destiny on July 13th at the Ryogoku Kokugikan. Marigold and Rossy Ogwawa made the official.
Iyo Sky Statement
Iyo Sky put out a statement on Twitter/X which is below. It is translated as: “As a WWE Superstar, I will enter the ring July 13th at Ryogoku Kokugikan. This will be a ‘dream match’ for women’s wrestling fans not only in Japan but all over the world. This premium fight will never happen again…please look forward to it.”
On WWE Raw, it appears that Iyo Sky is losing her mind after her championship loss. She is slowly becoming more violent. After her win, she continued to attack Valkyria. Even her Damage CTRL teammates were taken aback by her aggressiveness. Later in the show, Sky yelled backstage before storming off and leaving Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane.
After Iyo Sky appeared via stream, Utami Hayashishita said that she had no clue that her opponent would be Iyo Sky. She stated that she had become a wrestler because of Iyo Sky, but had never gotten to face Iyo. This was because Iyo had already left for America and the WWE.
