The WWE Summer Tour House Show was in White Plains, NY on Saturday, June 1st. The big news of the night was that Drew McIntyre returned to action in a triple threat. The complete results are:

  • Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair over Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane
  • WWE World Women’s Champion Bayley defeated Tiffany Stratton
  • World Tag Team Champions R-Truth and The Miz defeated Finn Balor and JD McDonagh
  • WWE World Champion Damien Priest retained over Drew McIntyre and Jey Uso with a chokeslam on Uso
  • LA Knight pinned Shinsuke Nakamura with a BFT
  • WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes pinned AJ Styles after three Cross Rhodes
White Plains, NY WWE House Show

The Best of the Super Juniors Semi-Finals

Tomorrow morning at 5:30 am EST from Korakuen Hall will have the Best of the Super Juniors Semi-Finals. El Desperado versus Douki and Taiji Ishimori versus TJP are the main events. The winners will headline NJPW Dominion on June 9th at Osaka, Japan in Jo Hall.

2020 Olympic Gold Medalist

On Friday night (May 31st) at the NXT Live House Show in Tampa, FL, Tamyra Mensah-Stock defeated Kendall Gray. Mensah-Stock is the first American black 2020 Olympic Gold Medalist in Freestyle Wrestling at 149 pounds and was a top collegiate wrestler.

Ricky Steamboat Documentary

The A&E Biography is being shown Sunday night at 8:00 pm EST. It will be on Ricky Steamboat.

TNA Wrestling Releases

As Dave Meltzer reported earlier, Lou D’Angeli and Dave Sahadi were released. Also, released was Lily Arenallo who was D’Angeli’s assistant in the live event promotion and marketing division. TNA Wrestling is going heavy into cost-cutting mode right now. This has been called more than cutting to the bone and maybe even actually cutting the bone.

GCW Tournament of Survival 9 News

GCW Tournament of Survival 9 in Atlantic City, NJ was Saturday, June 1st before about 800 fans. Complete Results are:

  • House of Horrors match: Yuki Ishikawa defeated Ultramantis Black
  • Big Japan’s Hideyoshi Kamitani beat Big F’n Joe
  • Brandon Kirk defeated DDT’s Shunma Katsumata
  • John Wayne Murdoch beat Slade
  • Cole Radrick won over Alec Price, Jordan Oliver, and Marcus Mathers
  • Made in Japan Death Match: Ishikawa defeated Kamitani
  • Contraption of Death Match: Murdoch beat Kirk
  • Finals: Murdoch defeated Ishikawa to win the Tournament of Survival. Murdoch won with a Canadian Destroyer off a scaffold through a table on fire.

City Championship Wrestling News

Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley won the City Championship Wrestling Tag Titles on Saturday night (June 1st) in Harrison Township, MI. They beat KJ Reynolds and Ryan Matthias for the vacant titles.

Drew Guluk News

Beyond Wrestling’s July 4th show at the White Eagle in Worcester, MA will be Drew Guluk’s first match after his WWE contract expired.
