A longtime WWE NXT star, Gigi Dolin who has been getting main roster looks since 2022 has been sidelined. In recent months, Dolin has appeared with Arianna Grace. However, this storyline was dropped. Grace has moved on from the angle on WWE NXT television. It has now been confirmed by Fightful Select‘s Sean Ross Sapp and Corey Brennan that Dolin has a serious knee injury. Recently, Gigi Dolin has been seen with a knee brace which led to some speculation.
Gigi Dolin has not wrestled since the March 12th edition of WWE NXT. She lost to Grace and then was forced to undergo a makeover at the hands of the beauty queen, Arianna Grace.
Gigi Dolin Storyline Dropped Confirmed
Recently, Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan has learned that the storyline of Gigi Dolin and Arianna Grace has been dropped. BMV Sports on May 30th has reported that, “There is speculation on whether the storyline was axed due to creative differences, but the lack of closure has left viewers disappointed.” Many fans echoed this on social media and were uncertain about the future direction of these characters and where their narrative was going.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp confirmed that Dolin was still with the company. He also confirmed that there had been some discussions about Dolin’s potential main roster future. She had gotten multiple looks on WWE Main Event. Dolin appeared on two episodes of WWE Smackdown in 2022 and between December 2023 and January 2024 was booked on three episodes of WWE Main Event.
Dolin Not Backstage
Gigi Dolin has not been backstage at several tapings of WWE NXT, according to Corey Brennan. She had filmed the majority of her sketches with Arianna Grace outside of the WWE Performance Center. Fightful Select were told at the time this was used as an avenue to keep her on TV while injured.
